our history
After the strong impulse given by Kazuhiko Nishi, on March 19, 2023, in conjunction with the Gathering in Vigevano, the MSX Italia Association was born thanks to the 12 founding members who elected Max Privrat as President.
The main aim of the Association is to connect information and promote activities and new developments relating to the MSX in Italy by creating internal and external collaborations as well as organizing gatherings for the meeting of users and the diffusion of the MSX system.
The intent is certainly not to excel, we know that there are now several well-established channels on social media that deal with this system, but in our opinion it would be useful to join forces to create a single point of reference for all users (new and historic) .
In our opinion, virtual collaboration on pre-existing social networks is not sufficient to manage events and projects such as gatherings and devcons representing Italy. The Association and its democratic assemblies allow us to manage more organized efforts and possibly to report expenses that will be necessary when we have to manage events such as the participation of international actors and Kazuhiko Nishi.
The Association, with its FB channel, chat and more, supports pre-existing groups and is open to all new members who want to bring something more to our country than virtual dialogue on the various message boards already present.

EXTRACT FROM THE STATUTE (...) The “MSX Italia” Cultural Association has as its aim the conservation, sharing, dissemination and promotion of the MSX and similar IT standards and its future developments through: contacts between people, bodies and associations; the organization of events, conferences, exhibitions, meetings, training courses and moments of exchange of materials; the creation of an IT archive; the dissemination of information and materials through fanzines, streaming channels and social media; propose itself as a space for aggregation and meeting in the name of shared cultural interests, fulfilling the social function of human and civil maturation and growth, through the ideal of lifelong education; To achieve its goals, the Cultural Association "MSX Italia" intends to promote various activities, in particular: cultural activities: meetings, conventions, conferences, debates, seminars, live broadcasts, in-depth videos, lessons, peer to peer, etc; training activities: theoretical/practical refresher courses for educators, teachers, in-depth courses, study and research group institutions; editorial activity: publication of a fanzine, publication of conference proceedings, seminars, as well as studies and research carried out. The “MSX Italia” Cultural Association is open to all those who, interested in the realization of its institutional goals, share its spirit and ideals. Membership in the Association is voluntary and takes place according to the methods set out in the following art. 5. The members are divided into: founding members, those who participated in the Articles of Association, deliberating the Constitution of the Association, are considered as such; ordinary members, all members who subsequently join the Association are considered as such; honorary or deserving members, those who are awarded this qualification, by nomination of the Board of Directors, are considered such because they have contributed in a decisive manner with their work or their ideal or economic support to the life of the Association;
