Along the lines of Eggerland, the 15th game of the jam called Eggy's Maze will make you find the missing eggs with puzzles. An MSX2 based game from Dutch Jacco Bikker that promises to keep you busy for a couple of hours.
With this year's freestyle edition, where games from every MSX generation are allowed, we'll see more games that follow this recipe. This game is intended to run on MSX2 or higher, using some features unique to MSX2 such as the use of battery-powered memory to save progress, for example.
The player must solve a vertically scrolling playing field, with 30 screens in total to solve. Collect the eggs scattered around the field, using your wits and logic to take the right approach. Be careful when you have found all the eggs, because an alarm will go off and the guards will prevent you from reaching the exit.
Use the cursor keys or joystick to move in any direction. When all hope is over, press the F1 key to restart the current field or the ESCAPE key to exit to the title screen. To replay a field use the CTRL key. The game runs in 60Hz monitor mode, but pressing the GRAPH key during startup will force the 50Hz mode. As mentioned, the game automatically saves your progress to system memory, allowing you to easily resume the game. This game also allows you to continue with a password system.
